Velocity BRS - Baggage Reconciliation System

The Velocity BRS is a state-of-the-art Baggage Reconciliation System designed for modern airport operations. Powered by Travsys, it can be deployed as a locally installed solution or as a flexible cloud-hosted service managed by Velocity Airport Solutions.

This innovative system integrates seamlessly with Departure Control Systems (DCS), functioning as either an extension of DCS or a standalone application. The Velocity BRS guarantees positive baggage reconciliation by meticulously matching checked baggage with the appropriate flight, fully compliant with the international security standards outlined in ICAO Annex 17. Furthermore, it adheres to IATA Resolution 753 for effective baggage tracking, ensuring all bags are accounted for, including those that are offloaded.

In case of offloaded baggage, the system identifies and communicates crucial baggage details to loading scanners, updating the database automatically once bags are removed. The robust database server at the heart of Velocity BRS efficiently manages baggage and passenger data, logging all critical events to simplify investigations as necessary. A hierarchical security structure governs user access, ensuring that functionality is strictly controlled.

Velocity BRS is equipped with advanced scanning devices that capture bag data upon arrival. If a tag matches an entry, a signal is dispatched to authorize loading, while rapid registration for rush, crew, and courier bags can be performed from any connected workstation.
